I fly C/L in England and am coming to Reno for the Air Races in September.
Do you live in Reno as it is mentioned in an article on your website? Is there any C/L flying in Reno or nearby?
Regards
Steve

I would like to know where you can buy Randy Smith's Hi-Zoot crankshaft for the Fox 35 Stunt engine. I have about 5 of them and three have never been run. These were bought about 15 years ago and I'am getting back into the control line game again. Grandson found my old box of engines and wants togo flt. Thanks

Nice to know there are still silk and dope guys out there. I am 67 years old, and still actively building and flying model airplanes. Been building them since age 8 or so. Where does one find Esaki silk for sale? Is K&S or Sig light silk just as good? I am concerned about buying silk that has been pre-shrunk. It doesn't work very well for model airplanes. Blessings, James (saved93)

Very nice and informative site. Our local group is a fairly new C/L club and always looking to learn from what others are doing. We are pretty much a group or retreads into C/L. I do a bi-monthly newsletter for the group so I'm always looking for things of interest.
Anyway, great site, keep flying......

I was browsing the web looking for glow plugs to brake in my FOX.35 Stunt 60th anniversary engine I bought with a SIG Twister 3 months ago after being out of C/L since 1953 with a FOX.35 and an S-I Ringmaster.
I find your article on the FOX 35 breakin in very informative...and will help me a lot
I was having problems to keept it running after it fired up, under overly rich mixture and after 2-5 seconds would die.. I tried everything, except replacing the factory Glow plug that came with the stock engine. A friend gave me a Thunderbolt R/C long glow plug that have the idle bar and that was the solution to my engine problem.

Great site! A friend of mine had a Sterling Thunder Jet when I was growing up. Used to help him with it before I got a plane of my own. Is it possible to get an outline of the parts, please? Let me know what it would cost. Would like to know more about Shark model. All the Best, Mike

I fly both RC and C/L. Curently I have a Ringmaster and a combat wing I got on Ebay. (similar to lil satan) You mentioned the sterling Eindecker. That was my first plane 32 years ago. If you could find the time to scan them and sell them to me, I would be very gratefull. That would take me back allong time ago.
Thanks
Jeff

I was routed here by a friend. Neat stuff. I was born in Reno and wonder if they still fly CL in Idelwild Park as they did in the 50's and 60's?

Nice site; I went looking for it after I accidentally (!!) found your SSW PM to me.
Not only do we both like trains, but ... my cousin, Gail Rush, lives in Sparks. We will probably visit her this fall.
See you on the web, and hopefully, in person.
